Most of the questions I get are not unusual. They arrive through the YouTube comments, in the community, or by email after a workshop, and nearly every one turns out to be something a dozen other growers are quietly wondering about too.

So they live here now. Ask yours below and I will answer it on this page, where it stays useful to the next person who runs into the same thing.

What to include

The more you tell me, the more useful the answer will be.

• What you are growing, and how long it has been in the system
• Which system you are using, and whether you built it or bought it
• What you are actually seeing, rather than what you think is wrong
• Water temperature, pH and EC readings if you have them
• A photo of the plant, the roots or the reservoir. One clear picture usually tells me more than a paragraph can.

What happens next

I read every question myself. I answer as many as I can, and the answer goes up on this page underneath your question, so nobody has to ask it again. If the same thing keeps coming up, it becomes a full guide.
